Embrace Visual Content in the Nonprofit Sector:

Content is evolving, visual is on the rise, words alone are no longer enough. One picture is worth a thousand words, and what’s better to capture the attention of your audience. The two most important terms in content marketing are engagement and involvement.“Studies show our brains not only process visuals faster, but they retain and transmit much more information when it’s delivered visually.” (thenextweb.com)

  • What will keep your audience coming back for more?

  • How will your audience retain your content?

A Visual Content Strategy is Key in the Nonprofit Sector:

Show them, don’t tell them. Visual content will boost audience engagement, and allow you to communicate effectively to those visual users.   Social Media even has become a highly visual medium.  Do you currently have a Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, and Vine?  People are constantly posting and sharing more photos, videos, and graphics. We found some stats from Hootsuite.com that show the explosive growth:

  • Pinterest now has 70 million users
  • Pinterest had the largest year-over-year increase in audience of any social network in 2012
  • Instagram has over 120 million monthly active users and was bought by Facebook for $1 Billion.
  • Photos receive 2x more likes than text posts on Facebook
  • Videos are shared on Facebook 12x more than text posts and links combined
  • On YouTube 100 million users are taking social actions (liking, sharing) every week

According to LinkedIn, “we are all visual thinkers. 75 percent of the sensory neurons in our brains process visual information. As prospects and customers continue to be bombarded with information in the form of plain text, such as whitepapers and blogs, it can be difficult to differentiate your content from the competition. Visual content can help.” Visual content is:

  1. More Persuasive
  2. Leaves a Better & Longer Impression

Capture Your Donors and Volunteers with Visual Content:

Don’t miss the opportunity to tap into your audience’s visual side. Stay in the game by crafting a visual content strategy, this will help you drive traffic, grow audiences, build relationships and convert them to potential donors and volunteers!
