Changes to Board Management’s Pricing Plans

A lot has changed in the past year. This year, we’ve made some major updates, from a complete redesigned of the user interface to faster page load and added security. We will continue to add more updates coming later this year. Early next year, we plan to release the new survey/voting and reporting modules to make it easier to get members’ feedback and gauge their engagement. These changes are exciting, but we still have a long way to go to deliver the Board Management we envision.

We don’t take any change to our pricing model lightly, and we don’t take our customers for granted. But we do want to continue improving Board Management, investing in the product to make it more powerful and deliver a better experience to you.

As a result, we are introducing a tiered pricing structure that more accurately reflects the value users get from the product. The tiered pricing is modest and designed to reflect the business value of our product relative to your success.

Here’s how the Board Management pricing model will look going forward:

All new accounts will continue to have 30 days free trial. No contract. No credit required.

  • 3 members
  • 100 MB of space
  • All features included.

Advisory Board
$49/month or $490/year

  • 5 members
  • 5 GB of space
  • All features included.

Small Board
$99/month or $990/year

  • 10 members
  • 10 GB of space
  • All features included.

Medium Board
$199/month or $1990/year

  • 20 members
  • 20 GB of space
  • All features included.

Large Board
$299/month or $2990/year

  • 30 members
  • 30 GB of space
  • All features included.

Assembly
$499/month or $4990/year

  • 50 members
  • 50 GB of space
  • All features included.

Custom Plan

These changes will affect each account differently, depending on your account type and current plan. Below is how your account will change to the new plan.

The new pricing will take effect for all new sign ups/account starting August 1, 2017.

For existing subscriptions, nothing is changing until January 2018.

Monthly Subscriptions

  • We are giving existing customers a five (5) months grace period for their existing subscriptions: new pricing will not take effect until January 2018.
  • You can upgrade to a yearly plan at the old price – that option is available until September 30th, 2017.
  • All monthly subscriptions will move on to the new plan starting January 1, 2018

Yearly Subscriptions

  • Your current price still stays the same until your account renew
  • If your account is due to renew this year (2017), let us know and we will help to upgrade your account to the new pricing at a discount rate.
  • All yearly subscriptions will move on to the new plan starting January 1, 2018

Q: What is changing?

As described above:

  • Our pricing is changing
  • Data per package is now doubled, meaning storage is less of a concern.
  • We’re changing the package names to more accurately represent our customers.
  • We’re adding “Custom Plans” for organizations with over 50 members.
  • We’re adding additional support and training for board and organization that need it

Q: When will these changes take place?

The changes will take on the following dates:

  • August 1st – all new accounts/sign ups will see and charge based on the new pricing.
  • September 1st – Non-Paying accounts will migrate to the new pricing
  • September 1st – Last day for monthly subscription accounts can upgrade to a yearly plan at the current/old price.
  • January 1st – All monthly subscription accounts will migrate to new pricing except for those in the yearly plan.
  • January 1st and go forward – Accounts in the yearly plan will start to migrate to the new plan.

Q: Why the increase in price?

There are several reasons we are increasing the price, but the most important reason is to provide a better customer experience. That includes customer phone and email support and continue enhancement to the application.

Q: How will I benefit?

  • No one wants to worry about maxing out their storage, so the new amount of data per package is now doubled!
  • Now that BoardManagement is more focused than ever, expect more frequent software improvements and updates.
  • Additionally, we are adding new members to the team, so look forward to faster and more efficient customer service.
